Artist Julie Rodriguez Jones, of San Pablo, California,
Selected to Show Work at International Exhibition in New York

Artist Julie Rodriguez Jones, of San Pablo, California, has been selected to exhibit her work, "Rose Nebula," a freehand digital airbrush on matte watercolor paper, in the "PlaceScapes" exhibition at The Stage Gallery in Merrick, New York.

The show is the result of an international competition of all kinds of realistic or imaginative landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, sky-or-spacescapes or purely invented "places" that artists could conceive of.  There were thousands of slides of work in all media submitted by entrants from all over the world, but Ms. Jones's was one of only twenty-three pieces finally chosen by the juror.

The exhibition opens on Friday, November 23, and runs through Sunday evening, December 30, at which time the public is invited to meet and chat with the artists at a wine-and-cheese reception from 6-8PM.  Regular viewing hours are Mondays through Fridays from 1:00-7:OOPM, and on weekends from 12:30- 3:OOPM or by appointment.  The Stage Gallery is located at 2222 Hewlett Avenue, Merrick, New York, with its entrance on Sunrise Highway at the foot of the Long Island Railroad's Merrick station.  It is also easily accessible by all major highways, and from nearby Manhattan by public transportation.  It has ample parking, is at street level and is handicapped-accessible.  For further information call (516) 797-9001 .
