The Story Behind the Art, "Blue Dahlia Plate."
My friend Peter has so many colors of dahlias, it is hard to know where to start when creating. Occasionally I like to try different applications for the art that I create. Perhaps you’ve seen the teapots and vases. Since Peter’s dahlias are called dinner plate-sized, I thought that decorating plates might be different and make an interesting piece of art. What you see is the result. A suggestion for displaying them is to group several together (as in the length of a dining room). At up to 32" X 32" each the display would be larger than life and would WOW your company.
There are seven different plates in this gallery. They are available only as prints as these are works of art and not real plates.
