The Story Behind the Art, "Red with Yellow Dahlia Plate."
My friend Peter has so many colors of dahlias, it is hard to know where to start when creating. Occasionally I like to try different applications for the art that I create. Perhaps you’ve seen the teapots and vases. Since Peter’s dahlias are called dinner plate-sized, I thought that decorating plates might be different and make an interesting piece of art. What you see is the result.
There are seven different plates in this gallery. They are available as prints and as actual glass plates. If you are interested in a real, glass plate(s) please contact the artist, Julie Jones at 775-424-2548 or AFTSJulieRJones@gmail.com.
