Weeds, glorious weeds. My friends, Louise and Dale Perry are out walking regularly and one day spotted Verdant Vetch in bloom. I am so lucky to have eyes in many places looking for flower models for me. I'm supposed to be unpacking but couldn't help myself.
I have found that weeds can be as beautiful as other flowers, and we think that they should be celebrated, even venerated. Sometimes the flowers on weeds are tiny, but it is my job to make sure that you can see them.
This beautiful grouping of flowers was almost lost. I was backing up some files, and I made a mistake in the process. They were lost. Gone. I tried several things, and they were still gone. What could I do? Well, several months went by, and I thought about asking one of my galleries if they could send me a copy of what I originally uploaded. They said YES! Boy, am I thankful because my attempts at recreating them didn't come out as well as the original. I took the original files and started using a technique that I had learned in the interim, and I like this version better than the first.
I am grateful that I learned something new and that my followers can benefit from it. I continue to use this style on many of my newer pieces. Enjoy!
